Reflect:
The artifacts that I chose for this standard represent it because they both show a way in which there is an understanding or a relationship with a teacher and another person, such as a parent or colleague. The artifact that I chose for 10.A was part of an Parent Advocacy Plan assignment that a group completed. My part was to plan a family fun night that involved the school, the parents and students, other teachers and volunteers. It reflects this specific category because it shows that I understand that schools are organizations that lie within bigger communities and that getting the school invloved in something such as a family fun night is a good way to invlove the community. The artifact that I chose for 10.B is an assignment that I had in which we had to watch two movies that had some educational issue in it that was affecting the studetns, parents, community and others. We had to write two poems about each moive and write a newspaper article as well. It was too address our understanding of what kind of educational issues are faced in schools. It reflects this specific category because it shows my understanding of how factors outside of the school effect their performance in school. Watching the movies, each student that was portrayed in both movies had some outside issue that was in some way affecting how they thought about school, how they did in school and their attitude in general.

Project:
I feel that these were good projects that will help me become a better teacher because I realize that including others is a good way to get them involved. Getting parents, the community and others involved helps bring together a community and can even help get help for a school that may be in need. I plan on involving my parents in what is going on in my classroom so that way they know what is coming up and if there ever is a problem, we will have some type of relationship that will make it easier for us to communicate with each other. I have learned alot from these projects, like how to involve parents and have fun at the same time. I think that this is a good lesson for future teachers and I plan on making sure of developing good relationships with those I work with and the students and parents as well.
